As for that widely talked about "meh," we'd probably render it as: Nah! or Never mind... or Why bother... or Fuck that! or Oh, brother! or various other phrases of lazy indifference, of which we have a lot.

That's a good one. Short and simple, an instrument both edged and blunt; threatening with the correct tone, uninterested when said with the appropriate tinge. :D

meh :-) Expressing a lack of interest or enthusiasm: ‘meh, I'm not impressed so far’

... One could use similar expressions in Greek, like Τι καλά! Τι ωραία! Ωραία! Μπράβο σου!, etc. with the proper oral dose of uninterested tone, but what I like in many cases would be "Μη μου πεις!" or even "Μεγάλο κατόρθωμα!" for an extra splash of sarcasm. And here's another one, close to...

Exactly as poetical as it sounds in Greek, where "διαβάζω τα μάτια κάποιου" is not a common phrase, but used by the author here for that specific reason, to draw the attention of the reader and enhance the scene by drawing a parallel between "reading poetry" and "reading each other's eyes"...
