Good morning, it is compound form of "gün çavdı". "Çavmak" means (the sun) rise. And "gün" means in this case "the sun".

Dear nickel, Administrator, Staff member,

I am a Naturalized US Citizen, my μητρική γλώσσα is Greek (and I have learned it much), but I write in an American Desktop computer, and I have no Greek fonds to use.

Please bear me when I do mistakes (λάθη)

Dear Alexandra, Super Moderator, Staff member, Thak you for your suggestion, why you included Keys of Change in your suggestion ?
My problem is : I know a lot to switch between English and Greek by using Alt + Shift, but it would left me blind since I would not really know what points in the keyboard I should use for Greek

"Keys of Change" was not included in my suggestion. It is included in all my posts, as all users can include a favorite quote, or in my case participation in this charity organization.

In any case, what you need is change of keys.
Come on, Konstantinos. No more excuses. Writing in your native language is a must, both within the digital environment and without it – but especially here, as this is a language forum and we do not take kindly to bloopers. It's easy to learn which English keyboard keys correspond to which letters and symbols. Just use the necessary program, switch to Greek, and find out what is where and how to use the accents and the other symbols. You may consult web pages like the following:
