Words we're watching: (Figurative) 'Super-Spreader'

What to Know
Super-spreader is a compound word that has increased in use in the era of COVID-19, but it is by no means a new word. Super-spreader is often used in the context of disease (it refers to someone who is highly contagious and capable of spreading disease to an unusually large number of people), but its usage has also shifted to figurative social and ideological realms; someone might be a super-spreader of narcissism or a super-spreader of misinformation, for example.
