England and America are two countries divided by a common language, με τη σημείωση:

Στο Φάντασμα του Κάντερβιλ (1887), ο Όσκαρ Γουάιλντ (στον οποίο επίσης αποδίδεται το τσιτάτο) έγραφε για την Αμερικανίδα κυρία Ότις: «Indeed, in many respects, she was quite English, and was an excellent example of the fact that we have really everything in common with America nowadays, except, of course, language».

Why, in America they haven't spoken it for years.
Και ο Λέρνερ ήταν Αμερικανός!
