Αυθόρμητη απορία.
Με τη λεξιλογική, ας πούμε, σημασία του όρου, κατά κανόνα σε επιρρηματική χρήση, ότι δηλαδή η τάδε λέξη χρησιμοποιείται (και) καταχρηστικά σ' αυτές κι αυτές τις περιπτώσεις.
Πώς το λένε αυτό οι αγγλόφωνοι;

Ναι, σωστά. Η προφανής λύση μού διέφυγε, γιατί μάλλον αυτό που αναρωτιόμουν είναι αν απαντάται σε λεξικά των αγγλικών κάποια αντιστοιχία του «καταχρ.»;

Αν και, τώρα που το ξανασκέφτομαι, τυχόν επισήμανση ελληνικού λεξικού ότι η τάδε λέξη χρησιμοποιείται «καταχρηστικά» δεν φαντάζει τόσο απαγορευτική, ας πούμε, όσο θα φάνταζαν οι προτάσεις σου, cougr, σε λεξικό των αγγλικών, έτσι δεν είναι;

Θέλω να πω, misused ή used wrongly/incorrectly παναπεί μην το λες έτσι, είναι λάθος.

Καταχρηστικά δεν είναι λίγο σαν να λέμε πολύς κόσμος το λέει κι έτσι, το οποίο κάποτε ήταν λάθος, αλλά πλέον όλα είναι σχετικά;

Ή κάνω την τρίχα τριχιά;

Πάντως το Merriam-Webster χαρακτηρίζει το irregardless -μια λέξη που νομίζω ότι αν υπήρχε σε ελληνικά λεξικά, θα συνοδευόταν σίγουρα από το "καταχρηστικά" (αν μη τι άλλο χειρότερο)- ως nonstandard, με την εξής σημείωση:

When a word is nonstandard it means it is “not conforming in pronunciation, grammatical construction, idiom, or word choice to the usage generally characteristic of educated native speakers of a language.”

Το λεξικό του Cambridge για την ίδια λέξη γράφει not standard, οπότε μάλλον κάτι τέτοιο μάς κάνει, εάν βέβαια στέκει η σύνδεση του irregardless με τον χαρακτηρισμό "καταχρηστικά".

If we add "unconventionally" and "in an unorthodox manner/unorthodox use" to your list, we have all bases covered.

We all agree that it refers to a "misused" word (or the misuse of a word/term), cougr, i.e., a word that is being used in the wrong way or for the wrong purpose, but what I think m_a_a is seeking here is an equivalent adverb in English (and not an equivalent adjective, or the equivalent past tense of the verb "misuse") that functions in the same way as "καταχρ.." (where κατα=anti/opposite of ... see post #3), that parallels that ... maybe it's "unconventionally/conventionally" .... but I think "improperly/properly" (where "im"= the opposite of) might fit the bill?

I'm aware that m_ a_ a_ was hoping for a directly corresponding equivalent but in the seeming absence of one, I think that at least in terms of meaning and connotation, the term "misused" is a good fit in the given context and is often used as a translation.
