Οι πυθαγόρειοι απαγόρευαν τα κουκιά. Ωστόσο οι "κύαμοι" αποδίδονται γενικότερα ως "beans". Δεν θα έπρεπε να είναι "broad beans" ή κάποιος άλλος όρος που να διαφοροποιεί τα κουκιά από τα φασόλια;
