Μίλησα με φίλη εργασιακή ψυχολόγο που δουλεύει πάνω σ' αυτό ακριβώς το αντικείμενο (αξιολόγηση εργαζομένων) και μου επιβεβαίωσε ότι το ipsative περιγράφει τις ερωτήσεις υποχρεωτικής επιλογής. Επίσης μου έδειξε κι άλλη μια σχετική περιγραφή:

Καμιά φορά είναι σκόπιμο να συζητείται ένα θέμα μέσα στο ίδιο νήμα. Δηλαδή, θα ήταν πιο χρήσιμο να είχαμε το ipsative και το normative response μαζί.
Υπό διαφορετικές συνθήκες, θα προτιμούσα αντίστοιχους όρους, που θα επεξηγούνταν. Αλλά δεν φαίνεται να υπάρχει κάποιος όρος γι' αυτό εδώ, έστω και αδιαφανής.
Στο αρχείο PDF εδώ (σελ. 2) υπάρχει ωραίο παράδειγμα που δείχνει αυτά που προτείνετε:
normative response = απάντηση σε ερώτηση με κλίμακα διαβάθμισης
ipsative response = απάντηση σε ερώτηση υποχρεωτικής επιλογής (τουλάχιστον μεταφράζουμε το forced choice)
Έτσι νομίζω είναι πιο κατανοητοί οι όροι και ας κάτσουν οι ειδικοί να τους βαφτίσουν όποτε και όπως θέλουν.
