In modern Greek it doesn't seem that there are two verbs for 'to bark', one for small and another verb for large dogs. In English we have 'yap' for the shrill bark of small dogs and 'bark' for medium and large dogs. γαβγίζω seems to serve for both types in Greek. I suppose you could use κάνω...
