Go Fish (also Goldfish or simply Fish) is a simple card game. It is usually played by two to five players, although it can be played with up to ten.

Basic game
Using a standard 52-card deck, five cards are dealt to each player, or seven if there are four or fewer. The remaining card pack is shared between the players, usually sprawled out in a non-orderly pile referenced as the "ocean" or "pool".

The player whose turn it is to play asks another player for his or her cards of a particular rank. For example, "Steve, do you have any threes?" The player who is "fishing" must have at least one card of the rank he asked for in his hand. The recipient of the request must then hand over a card of that rank, if he or she has any. If the recipient of the request has none, he or she tells the player to "go fish," and the player draws a card from the pool and ends his turn. If the player receives the card he or she wanted (through either means), he may take another turn. If the player is now holding a pair of one rank, he may play the cards face up in front of himself. Play proceeds to the left.

Winning: When one player runs out of cards, or the pool is empty, the game ends. The player with the most piles in front of him or her wins.

Not to be confused with the card game Literature, which is also commonly called "Fish".

- Got some time to play cards with me? Or do you gotta go?
- Depends on the game.
- Depends on what you know.
- Go Fish, Old Maid.
- Let's play Go Fish.
...
- How about threes? You got any threes?
- Go fish.

Μήπως να λέγαμε "Ψάρεψέ το";

Old Maid (Μουντζούρης)

Wikipedia:

Old maid is a Victorian card game for two to eight players probably deriving from an ancient gambling game in which the loser pays for the drinks. It is known in Germany as Schwarzer Peter, in Sweden as Svarte Petter and in Finland as Musta Pekka (all meaning "black Peter") and in France as le pouilleux ("the lousy/louse-ridden one") or vieux garçon ("old boy"). The game spawns an element of bluffing, commonly used in poker.

When using a regular deck, a card is either added or removed, resulting in one unmatchable card. The most popular choices are to remove the ace of clubs or queen of clubs or to add a single joker. The ace of spades, queen of spades or joker, respectively, becomes the "old maid"; it cannot be matched, and whoever holds it at the end of the game is the loser. It is possible to discard a single card from the deck face-down; if this is done, players cannot know which card is the old maid.
[...]
Beginning with the dealer, each player takes turns offering his hand face-down to the person on his left. That person selects a card and adds it to his or her hand. This player then sees if the selected card makes a pair with their original cards. If so, the pair is discarded face up as well. The player who just took a card then offers his or her hand to the person to their left and so on. A player is allowed to shuffle his hand before offering it to the player on his left. In some variants, all players discard after the dealer has drawn.

The object of the game is to continue to take cards, discarding pairs, until all players except one have no cards. That one player will be left with the lone unmatchable card; they are "stuck with the old maid (your chosen card)" and lose.
