What is the common Greek for the vapour trail that comes from a jet plane? Magenta's ατμοί κινητήρων αεροσκαφών που ίπτανται σε μεγάλο ύψος is hardly usable & constitutes a definition only. Γραμμή από καυσαέριο αεροπλάνου is somewhat better. What is the natural Greek for 'look at those vapour trails in the sky; they are all from planes coming from, or to, London'?mg:

One incorrect term I like is "ουρές καπνού".

Thanks, Nickel & Earion. I too like ουρές καπνού. Κεμτρέιλ is another conspiracy theory I haven't heard. Who started such a theory? Earion's Ίχνη συμπύκνωσης or κοντρέιλ from Wikipedia is a pleasing & concise alternative. :)

Κεμτρέιλς is just a transcription used by (thankfully few) people who cannot bother to look for the Greek version of the term.
