Το reel-to-reel είναι το μαγνητόφωνο με μπομπίνες, κοινώς μπομπινόφωνο. Το κλασικό παλιό μαγνητόφωνο, δηλαδή.

Για το Portapak:
The VIDEO ROVER, was the first video portapak. It offered the format of the time which was B/W, skip field, Pre-EIAJ, 1/2 inch tape, reel to reel. This first unit was a record-ONLY portapak VTR outfit. Recording time was 20 minutes on 4-1/2 inch reel of 1/2 inch videotape. Streamlined for size and weight you were provided a small hand crank that stored in the units lid for rewinding the tape! Playback of tapes from this unit (after they were hand rewound) was accomplished on the CV-2000 series decks.

Αν πιστέψουμε το παραπάνω (και άλλες πηγές), το "1 ίντσα" είναι λάθος και πρέπει να είναι μισή ίντσα.

Επανέρχομαι (είναι προφανές ότι το θέμα με ενδιαφέρει).

Το κείμενό σου έχει δύο λάθη, εκτός αν πρόκειται για λάθη αντιγραφής. Το πρώτο Portapak (καλύτερα με κεφαλαίο, είναι όνομα μοντέλου) κυκλοφόρησε το 1967, όχι το 1965. Και η πιο σωστή απόδοση της φράσης σου είναι «μηχανή λήψης που χρησιμοποιούσε/συνδεδεμένη με φορητό μαγνητόφωνο/μπομπινόφωνο με (μαγνητο)ταινία της 1/2 ίντσας».

Το μηχάνημα που κυκλοφόρησε το 1965 (Sony CV-2000) δεν ήταν φορητό (έπαιρνε πάντως κι αυτό ταινία της μισής ίντσας).

Το Portapak, του 1967, είναι το DV-2400 (άλλοι το γράφουν CV-2400) με τη μηχανή DVC-2400.
