Beginners like me (wrongly) tend to think that the first two are synonymous. As for the remaining two its seems that μωρέ can mean ‘babe’ even when used of a woman and μωρή is an insult only to a woman. But I am very confused. Clearly the tone of voice in which the latter two are used is also important. When I was talking to a Greek lady recently she told me that the meanings and use of all of them are subtle and that I should avoid them. Mind you because I know this lady well she always greets me with a ρε μαλάκα! If it is at all possible I should very much appreciate an account of the distinctions between, and usage of all of them. The same lady also told me that βρε was more ‘polite’ than ρε. However, I have learnt to mistrust this sort of ‘linguistic’ observation.
